The Power of Positive Thoughts
Is the glass half empty or half full? It pays to answer “half full” or even “I am fortunate to have a glass of water”. Why? From the dental standpoint, healthy positivity will improve your oral wellbeing. It is known that negativity and stress will raise your bodies cortisol level – the fight or flight hormone that prepares your body for battle – and thereby suppress your immune system, leading to gum inflammation, infection and disease. Also we know that negativity and recurring, obsessive thinking leads to clenching teeth, and thus bruxism – grinding teeth together so badly they wear down abnormally. Most of us also know that stress and negativity can lead to apathy and tiredness, so much so that we don’t brush our teeth, with awful consequences for our health. So yes, having an optimistic viewpoint will improve your health and the health of your teeth. We never said it would be easy to get to optimism, or a positive mindset. But we dare say that if you learn to be grateful, do and think and view the things that bring you happiness, and focus on the good possibilities in life, you will not only have a better smile, but a better world to share it with. We at ProDentalFx, LLC can help you to have the best possible dental health, and we wish you all the good and plenty blessings that rightfully accompany it. – ProDentalFx, LLC
